Latest Oppie treasure finds as captured via various iPhone apps - a little addicted I must admit - the above are oil paintings, and the true colours are gorgeous, the frames are not! - $3 each...
...*sigh* I have been scouting for these Golden Hands books for ages and had only ever been able to get issue 1 and 2 - today I found issues 1 - 18 in practically new condition other than the lovely paper bookmarks marking the previous owners projects, for the bargain basement price of $6 including a stack of other children's picture books and educational books (some shown below), the last tea cup for my market project and a cute 80's pillowcase! Right place at the RIGHT time! Yay!
...I also scored this amazing oval mirror with gorgeous etched birds on it (sorry about the pic!) for $6. These beauties are going for between $20 - $60 even in the local oppies so I was delighted to find this lovely one so cheaply. Trying to stop it migrating to my Mums is my only concern, she has a great collection of them but not a bird or in this shape. Will have to search for another one for her, better say a little prayer to the oppie gods although I fear my luck may have run out this year with those Golden Hands, hmmm...
...
Here are some other little moments to be grateful for from my life this last week, as captured by my trusty iPhone, and with much truer colours...
Last but not least the winner of this weeks giveaway is Shelley of the cutest felt pincushion shop on etsy Spincushions. Thanks for the address Shelley I will post your little parcel off by the end of the week! Yay!
Thanks for all the comments for this giveaway too! It is great to hear that so many people are reviving snail mail one letter or note or parcel at a time.
