So here's the remainder of my awesome oppie trips last week. Thanks so much and Hello! to everyone who found their way over from
Her Library Adventures. I have had a great time popping by your blogs!
The original vintage beach umbrella is complete with the full pole intact and set me back about $2 at the Burnie tip shop. It was the perfect cover for our little impromptu picnic today!
The Munchkin spotted and chose the copper girl picture which I love, and the "twins" as they are now called were free! Other than new eyes on the girl and a good wash they are perfect and so detailed and gorgeous!
I could not believe my eyes when I spotted this pink
Bilibo for $5 at the Oppie down the road from me! I have been considering one for The Munchkin for ever but wasn't sure if the concept would work - let me tell you it does! It has been used for all manner of things already and she loves to just sit inside it like a little coccoon on the couch. I don't usually buy plastic for our house but the great design and open ended play scope for this one does it for me. Do you have one? What kind of things do your children use it for?
I don't want to call this an army of little people, maybe a gaggle? A collection? Hmm anyway, the day before I had almost added a few of these to an online shopping cart I was frequenting and then changed my mind, to find 17 of these mostly large ones for $1 each was a gift horse I was unable to ignore! We will keep a few and maybe add some to gifts or create some steiner/waldorf type gnomes. Stay tuned!
Although the Munchkin is too big for these little hand knit baby jumpers I find it hard to leave them! They are so beautifully made and practically brand new. They were about $1 each and I have added them to the maybe-baby pile for now, otherwise they will be sold or passed on.
I could not pass up this pretty green
hobby-tex painted apron (50c) or the vintage Myer dress ($1) which is earmarked for a sweet little girl we know!
Sweet corduroy overalls once again for the maybe-baby and a gorgeously coloured old-lady scarf ($2 for both)...
and a real vintage from Melbourne nylon shirt which I will be adding to the Green Room at our
market this weekend, way too small for me unfortunately...
And last but not least two vintage sheets in excellent condition for the wonderful FQ swap happening over at
Kell's Green Tea and Red Nails! I actually let out an audible squeak when I saw the bottom one, vintage sheet gold!
till next time, xxx
